Training with various dance groups since early childhood, he studied at the Lviv Choreographic School beginning at age 9. For the last 20 years, he has been working at the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theater, but as a star soloist he never stops training. In 2018, he graduated from T. Shevchenko University in Lugansk with a master’s degree in choreography!
Winner of the Vadim Pisarev Prize and the International Competition Arabesque, Evgeny has been an honored guest soloist at theaters in France, China, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Italy, Sweden and Holland.
In 2016, Evgeny participated in the U.S. tour of Swan Lake as a guest soloist, and no doubt, his performance in this role will be beyond captivating once again.
Mikhail Ovcharov is the international ballet phenomenon that you won’t soon forget.
His story begins in Siberia, where Ovcharov first pursued his passion for dance. After graduating from the Buriat Choreographic School in 2004, the dancer earned the once-in-a-lifetime scholarship to the New Zealand School of Dance. It was there that he was able to fine-tune his passion into a technical and precise art by achieving the coveted National Diploma in Dance Performance in 2006.
Almost as soon as he was hired at the Royal New Zealand Ballet, his career swept him halfway across the planet to the Tulsa Ballet Theatre in the US.
This ballet luminary finally came full circle after returning to Russia to join the St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre. As he proceeds to perfect his craft, Ovcharov will continue to stun the entire globe with his grace, strength, and dedication.
We are proud to present the ever-talented Ovcharov, dancing the part of Jester.
